The Chernobyl Children Lifeline - Tynedale link is a Charity and as such relies on the generous donations of others to perform its duties, it costs about £500 to bring a child from Belarus to the UK for four weeks.

The more donations we receive the more children we can bring to the UK. It has been reported that the four week stay the children experienced in the UK and away from the contamination in Belarus adds another two years on to their life span.

If you pay income tax you can download a form, fill it in and send it with your donation to enable us to reclaim tax from the government, greatly increasing the value of your donation. The government sends us the money that you have already paid in income tax, so instead of it going into the government coffers, it helps us bring the children across from Belarus. Currently for every £1 you donate we receive an additional 28p. This will not cost you anything more than your valued donation.
